兵庫県たつの市で生まれたレザーバッグブランド「RETHAEL」の展示会を開催するにあたり、人と皮革の関わり方に関する調査を行った。

なぜ人は動物の皮の力を借りるのか、その力を借りるために何をしてきたのか。

この調査によって、人が皮革に触れたときの感覚をより豊かにし、この先の暮らしに役立てる。

今回は人々は皮革をどのように使ってきたのかを調査・分類することで、皮革の特徴を明確化し、今後の皮革を用いた道具や設備を検討する際のヒントを探る。

To prepare for an exhibition of the leather bag brand “RETHAEL,” born in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, we conducted research on the relationship between people and leather.

This research aims to enrich the sensory experience of touching leather and apply these insights to future living.

This time, by researching and categorizing how people have used leather, we intend to clarify its characteristics and explore hints for considering upcoming tools and equipment using leather.
